adoption process
How does it work?
First and foremost - Thank you for considering opening your heart and home by adopting! Adoption gives these animals a second chance, and they deserve an opportunity to love and be loved.
Please note, we reserve the right to decline your application for any reason we feel will not match with the needs of our animals.
Adoptions are not accepted on a first come, first served basis.
We will match our animals with the most appropriate fit, therefore if there is more than one person interested in the same animal please understand that it may be that you are a good adoptive family, but not the best match for that specific animal.
Please note that the animals in our care have uncertain pasts. We do our best to guess at age/breed/size, but we can never be certain. We also cannot guarantee health or temperament.
Adoption fees are as follows and are subject to change at any time. All animals are spayed/neutered, received first vaccinations, dewormer and a vet check.
We have a zero tolerance policy for rude/abusive/or threatening behaviour towards our volunteers. If you are found to be treating our valued volunteers with this kind of behaviour we reserve the right to cease contact with you and decline any future adoption opportunities. Please treat us with respect!

Dogs & Puppies : $350
Cats & Kittens : $150
Small Animals : By Donation
All adoption fees are non-refundable.
STEP ONE
The first part of the adoption process is submitting an application for the animal you would like to adopt.

step two
Once your application is reviewed and references are checked, we will arrange for a meeting between you and the adoptable animal. We may request this visit to be at your home to make sure this is the ‘right fit’.
step three
All applicants will be reviewed and the best fit for the animal will be chosen and contacted.
step four
All renters must have written permission from their landlord prior to an animal going home.
step five
Upon adoption, an adoption contract and payment of the applicable adoption fee is required by cash or email transfer. Adoption fees are non-refundable.
